Cape Town!

Ok, so I'm finally here! wow...you will not believe how amazingly beautiful it is here...I can't believe it myself! The trip here was long, but well worth it. My plane left at 5:10 on the 16th from Toronto. I was fortunate enough to end up sitting next to a girl my own age who was on her way to Singapore and then Australia. Her name is Lacy,and she is very cool. We happened to have the same 10 hour lay-over, so we spent the entire time together. We took the train into Frankfurt (thank goodness for Canadian passports which let you do anything!), but it was 7 in the morning there and rainy, so we just got some food and then headed back to the airport. We then found some benches at the airport and took mulitple naps. My flight to SA left at 11:30 that night, so it was a lonngggg day..it felt like I had spent a week in the airport! I arrived here in CT around 11:30 am their time, and was met by my friend Rachel's roommate Jill. She took me back to their apartment and I had the best shower of my life, as I had been in the same clothes, and had not showered or slept in three days..very hectic. The view from Rachel's apartment is spectacular! But photos do not do it justice...but there are some here anyways. I toured around the city a little with Jill...very beautiful. Last night Rachel and I just did some shopping and then went to bed..I was sooo glad to actually sleep in a bed! Today has been full. I took a tour bus this morning that lets you off at various tourist sites. I hit up a botanical garden (amazing!), went on a walking tour of a township (beyond words...a learning experiance for sure), went to an extremely windy beach, and now I'm at the mall waiting for Rachel to be done work. Tonight we are having a picnic on the beach with some of her friends and watching the sunset! Can't wait! so that is what I have been up to so far. I will put more up later! P.s. this is extremely expensive because I'm in an internet cafe..eee, lots of rands! I love you all and miss you all!
